Fredericksburg is an independent city in Virginia, located 45 miles from Washington, D.C. It is part of the Washington Arlington Alexandria Metropolitan Statistical Area. It is beautifully located at the junction of the Rappahannock River and the Atlantic Seaboard. It was once a major part in the state. The city and its location played a crucial role in the Civil War. Besides its unique location and history, Fredericksburg receives millions of tourists every year.
